Beyond the Dose: Preparation and Integration in Practice

A five-week online series for clinicians, with Dr Diana Korevaar.

Most of the work in psychedelic-assisted therapy happens outside the dosing day. Preparation determines what a patient can bring to the session, and integration determines what they keep afterwards.

At a glance

  • Five Mondays, 5:45–7:00pm AEDT: 19 and 26 October, 2, 9 and 16 November 2026 SOLD OUT

  • Five Wednesdays 21 and 28 October, 4, 11 and 18 November 2026

  • Online, live

Who it's for: Psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and peer workers working in psychedelic-assisted therapy, or preparing to.

What we cover

  • Week one: Coherent narrative and attachment patterns How a patient tells their story matters as much as what is in it.

  • Week two: Shadow process and the narratives underneath Working with what a patient cannot yet put into words.

  • Week three: Systems of emotion, and working with triggers Some triggers come from ordinary life. Others surface after a dosing session.

  • Week four: Interoceptive awareness Teaching it is the easy part. Keeping a patient actively using it is the work.

  • Week five: Mentalisation and pendulation Building regulation and insight, plus something patients can practise between sessions.

How it runs

Taught inside out. Clinicians practise with some of their own life experience, not hypothetical cases. Diana presents a patient each week to illustrate the concept.

Each session builds on the one before, so the series runs as five consecutive weeks rather than as drop-in sessions. Places are limited to six, and enrolment is for the full series.
