“In a world first, Australia has authorised the prescription of MDMA and psilocybin for PTSD and treatment resistant depression. Although exciting and promising to bring relief from suffering to patients with these conditions, the route to becoming an authorised prescriber as a busy Psychiatrist involves numerous steps including submissions to Human Research Ethics Committees and to the Therapeutic Goods Administration. The Psychedelic Consultancy founded by Monica has proved incredibly useful to me and my practice in navigating the complexities of these processes. I have been impressed by her responsiveness and expertise and my journey becoming an authorised prescriber has been greatly facilitated by her contribution. I highly recommend the service to any Psychiatrist interested in making these novel therapies available to their patients.”

“Monica has an exceptional understanding of the Authorized Prescriber scheme, having developed one of the first successful programs and supported many others in gaining approval. Her deep expertise and strategic insight made her an invaluable guide through what is otherwise a complex and often opaque process. She was highly organized, efficient, and responsive throughout, and demonstrated great flexibility in incorporating my preferences into the application. I truly can’t imagine having navigated this process without her support.”

He is looking at the camera with a slight smile, with his hands clasped in front of him, wearing beaded bracelets and a ring.

“Monica has been instrumental in my journey as an Authorised Prescriber and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT) psychotherapist, helping me at every step of the way. She is incredibly knowledgeable in all things PAT, highly experienced, and remarkably efficient at navigating the complex web of regulatory requirements relating to the setting up and maintaining of a PAT clinic. She has a wonderfully warm and professional style, and really goes above and beyond; her passion for guiding and mentoring people into the PAT world is evident. It has also been an absolute pleasure collaborating with her as a co-therapist in PAT work. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Psychedelic Consultancy; an indispensable resource for any psychiatrist or other clinician interested in PAT.”
