Sean O’Carroll
Sean is the founder and director of the Wild Mind Institute (2014), which delivers training in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy and "Bad Trip" Integration..
Sean O'Carroll was founding head of psychotherapy at Clarion Clinics (Australia’s first purpose-built psychedelic clinic), and a lead therapist, trainer and supervisor at the Monash University Psychedelics Lab in Melbourne, Australia.
He does consulting work (training and supervision) for a number of other psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy research trial teams. He has completed the MAPS training in MDMA for PTSD, and worked as a training assistant on subsequent MAPS trainings.
Sean has been studying and exploring human consciousness for over 25 years. His (2004) BA Hons in philosophy (phenomenological inquiry) explored the relationship between science, subjectivity and the sacred. He trained as a Gestalt psychotherapist in 2013/14 and has trained in a number of other psychotherapeutic modalities since 2011. Sean has worked as a psychotherapist and academic - lecturing in transpersonal psychology, psychotherapy, and eco-psychotherapy - for over twelve years.
